St Andrew's Ambulance Association offers a wide range of
courses
suitable for members of
the public and business alike. There are also a small number of courses
available to Corps members wishing to learn extra skills, which shall
hopefully increase over the coming years.
The Standard
First Aid course is the main
course available to the
public and Corps members.
The Health and Safety (First Aid ) Regulations 1981
placed a
responsibility on all employers to provide adequate and appropriate
first aid provision for their employees. It is a legal requirement to
have trained first aiders in the workplace.
St Andrew's Ambulance Association is a Scottish
Qualification Authority
( SQA ) Accredited Training Centre. All our trainers and
assessors
are fully qualified to train you to the
levels required by the HSE to meet the requirements of the First Aid at
work Act (1981). The following HSE courses are held regularly at both
National
Headquarters in Glasgow and at our various Executive committees
throughout the country. All of these courses can be held at a client's
site by arrangement.
