Injuries Course
This course has been developed by St Andrew's in
conjunction with the
Scottish Youth Football Association. It is now required for all youth
football coaches throughout Scotland to complete one of these courses.
The course contents include:
- Responsibilities of a First Aider
- Casualty management
- Record keeping
- Sports First Aid Kit
- Breathing difficulties
- Resuscitation
- Wounds and Bleeding
- Causes of unconsciousness
- Strains and Sprains
- Fractures
- Spinal Injuries
The certificate awarded on completion of this course
after
successfully
passing all assessments is valid for three years, and bears both the
logos of the Scottish Youth Football Association and St Andrew's
Ambulance Association.
